Minister for Disinvestment in India visits our head factory
|

| Dr. Arun Shourie, Minister for Disinvestment in India visited our Head FactoryOctober 16, 2002. He came to Japan to give a special lecture at Japan-India Economy Symposium promoted by Nihon Keizai Shimbun, Inc. He wished to visit a middle and small company in Japan before Symposium and Japanese Embassy in India recommended NISSIN. On that day, Dr. U.S. Tandon, Counselor, Science and Technology and two officers from Embassy of India other than the Minister, and Deputy Director, Asia-pacific Div., International Trade Policy Bureau, METI. A reporter for the Nikkan Kogyou Shimbun came and he introduced the visit in the next morning paper. After watching video of company profile and taking a lecture about management of NISSIN by Mr. Kato, President, they observed the factory. The Minister told his impression, gPrecision manufacturing that was only image for me became reality today.h He also expressed sympathy to NISSINfs motto. Mr. Ito, our founder said gDr. Mahatir, Prime Minister of Malaysia also expressed sympathy to our motto.h |

Teachers of Tokyo Metropolis visit our head factory as a course of training.

| 30 teachers of Tokyo Metropolis visited our Head factory as a course of training July 31, 2002. Object of the course is to make teachers study management of middle and small companies. This is the second visit since last year. After they watch video of company profile, Mr. Kato, President gave a lecture about management of NISSIN. Then, they observed factory forming themselves in 3 groups. They were much interested in various things in the factory. One group came back to the conference room very late because they asked too many questions at the job shop. In the time of question and answer, earnest exchange of views about manufacturing teaching continued until the last time of their leaving

Middle school students from Aichi-prefecture visit at our head factory.

Students of Tatsuta village public middle school located at Tatsuta village, Ama- gun, Aichi-prefecture visited at our head factory to observe our factory June 19,2002. This middle school visits every year at various places of work such as research organization, theater and private enterprise to learn society as an event of school excursion. 6 students of C class 3rd group in 3rd grade who had hoped to see NISSIN , healthy company in Ota-ku visited our factory. We had a visit of students from same middle school three years ago. After they observed and studied our products such as mold for pressed parts, reflectors, CNC Tube Bender and etc. Questions & Answers were done. All students regretted that they could not see demonstration of CNC Tube Bender due to absence of relative staffs who were attending the exhibition named g Manufacturing World 2002h in Tokyo International Exhibition Hall.

NISSIN attends at Promotion Conference for Collaboration among Industry-University-Government as a panelist.

Mr. Kato, President of NISSIN attended as a panelist at The first Promotion Conference for Collaboration among Industry-University-Government held at Kyoto International Conference Hall on June 15 & 16, 2002 under the auspices of Cabinet Office, Science Council of Japan( The joint auspices of Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and other 6 Ministries). This conference was held for promoting the collaboration among Industry-University-Government rapidly and attended by 3500 relative persons from Business world , University, Experiment station and relative Ministries and Offices. On the first day of conference, starting from the greetings by organizers , Mr. Kouji Omi, Minister of State for Science and Technology Policy and Mr. Okuda, Chairman of Japan Business Federation and Mr. Hiroyuki Yoshikawa, Chairman of Science Council of Japan , Minister Omi gave a lecture about the aim of conference and Ms. Rita Nelson gave a special lecture. In PM time, four Sectional Meetings were held in four places of meeting separately. The theme of a sectional meeting attended by Mr. Kato, our president was g Technical guidance for small to medium sized enterprisesh This sectional meeting was proceeded by two chairmen, Mr. Masao Horiba, Chairman of Horiba, Ltd. and Mr. Yuji Furukawa, Professor of Tokyo Metropolitan University and five panelists , Mr. Keizo Ikegami, Chairman of Ikegami Mold Engineering Co., Ltd., Mr. Akira Iwabuchi, Professor of Iwate University, Toshikatsu Miki, Professor of Yamaguchi University, Toshikazu Matsuda, Director of Technology Research Institute of Osaka Prefecture and Mr. Kato, our President. Mr. Katofs turn of presentation was second. He made presentation by using power point about actual examples on the collaborations with Universities and Research Institutes NISSIN had ever made and about requests to Universities and public Experiment & Research Organizations and about requests on subsidy from Government etc..

Industrial development officer of UN and supervising investments specialist of BOI of Philippines visit us

On April 30, 2002, Ms. Ikue Toshinaga, Industrial development officer of of UNIDO ( United Nations Industrial Development Organization) and Ms. Maricar G. Tulaylay paid courtesy visit at our head factory. UNIDO is Exclusive Organization of the United Nations and has its head office in Vienna and one of its mission is promotion of developments on manufacturing industry in developing countries. Ms. Ikue Toshinaga is taking charge of Philippines. Ms. Tulaylay is working at Japan Desk in BOI of Philippines which supervises investment from foreign countries to Philippines. As NISSIN officially expressed to go to Philippines for manufacturing, Ms. Tulaylay paid courtesy visit at NISSIN attended by Ms. Toshinaga during her stay in Japan. Mr. Kato , our President explained her the outline of NISSIN project in Philippines and asked her cooperative support in Philippines. |

Middle school students from Miyako visit us
|
|
| Recently the number of middle schools who plans the visit of their students at various place of work as an event taking one day during school excursion to Tokyo area is increasing. In this tendency, 2nd grade students of Sakiyama middle school in Miyako city visited at manufacturing companies in Ota-ward on April 16, 2002 and 6 students of them visited at our head factory. This visit was realized by the relationship with Mr. Kumasaka, the Mayor of Miyako city who visited Ota-ward last year to give a lecture at gCommunication Meeting for Different Industries Groupsh. The students questioned eagerly to our staffs about the means how to break through the bad economy situation and etc. Later we got polite letters of thanks from all students. |

| TUBE is World-wide Exhibition relative to Tubes which is held every two years in Dusseldolf in Germany. TUBE 2002 was held with the period from April 8 to 12, 2002. German company NEU representing our tube bender exhibited NISSIN CNC TUBE BENDER at the show. Mr. Fukutomi & Mr. Tachikawa from NISSIN joined the show and gave a support there for promoting sales. |

Trainees fromPhilippines come to Japan
|

|
On March 10th, 2002, 5 members of NISSIN factory in Philippines (NPPC) arrived in Japan to get training. They are scheduled to return to Philippines to start up production after approx. 6 months training in our IIDA FACTORY in Japan for mastering die making and press stamping etc. |
