NISSIN’s PLA Products (Bio7, 4Tiers) Obtain U.S. BPI Certification

NISSIN’s “Bio7” and “4Tiers” ultra-thin transparent cups, made from 100% plant-derived polylactic acid (PLA) resin, have been certified by the Biodegradable Products Institute (BPI) in the United States.  The BPI’s objective is to guarantee the safe and complete breakdown of biodegradable plastics and compostable products in commercial composting facilities.  Certified products are affixed with the “BPI Certification Mark,” creating a system that allows consumers, businesses, and municipalities to easily identify compostable products.  NISSIN’s products are next-generation sustainable products that are both reusable and biodegradable, offering an alternative to conventional single-use plastics.  The acquisition of this certification marks a significant step toward improving credibility and expanding sales channels in the North American market for NISSIN, which handles products made from 100% biodegradable resin.  NISSIN’s products are listed on the following page on the BPI official website.
